    Two-A-Days: Sioux City East Black Raiders

    SIOUX CITY, Ia (KCAU) – The Sioux City Black Raiders are coming off a 5-5 season that saw them lose in the Iowa Class 5A playoffs first round to Dowling Catholic 45-0.

    East returns some key parts to the team. Quarterback Cal Jepsen returns. Jepsen had over 2,300 yards and 19 touchdowns last season. That was top-five in all of Class 5A in pass yards and offensive yards.

    The Black Raiders also return running back Myles Wegher, who had over 900 total yards and led the team in rushing and was second in receiving.

    A new addition to the team is wide receiver Louden Grimsley who transferred from Lawton-Bronson. Grimsley had 20 receptions for over 350 yards and three touchdowns last season for the Eagles.

    Sioux City East opens up the season on August 30th at home against Glenwood.
