    Dickinson County officials investigating possible drowning

    ARNOLDS PARK, Iowa ( KCAU ) — Authorities are investigating a possible drowning in Dickinson County.

    According to a post on the Dickinson County Sheriff’s Office Facebook page , the body of Gilman Cooper, 27, of Omaha, was discovered by fishermen in Smith’s Bay of West Lake Okoboji at around 10 a.m. on Saturday.

    The post states that Cooper had been reported missing to the Arnolds Park Police in the early morning hours on Saturday after getting separated from his group.

    The post specified that foul play is not suspected, but the incident remains under investigation.

    Agencies that assisted included the Arnolds Park dive team and the Iowa Department of Natural Resources.
