    Local fiddler played at Betty Stone Encounter Center for Have Fiddle Will Travel

    SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KCAU) — Bill Peterson took the stage to play the fiddle at the Betty Stone Encounter Center Sunday.

    Bill Peterson is an expert fiddle player who has played for many years.

    On Aug. 25, at 2 p.m. Peterson along with his musical partners and traveling companions told stories and played tunes from travels to different fiddling meccas in Europe, Canada, and the United States.

    Sioux City Geek Convention brings comic-con fun to Siouxland

    Peterson also frequently travels to countries like Norway, Sweden, and, most recently, Ireland to learn more about the different kinds of fiddle music.

    At the Betty Stone Encounter Center, Peterson played what he learned overseas and explained the different variations of music from culture to culture.

    Peterson say he loves sharing his passion and hopefully inspire the next generation.
