VERMILLION, S.D. (KCAU) – Coming off a 10-3 season that ended in the NCAA FCS Playoffs Quarterfinal round, the ‘Yotes return 15 starters including quarterback Aidan Bouman, who finished 11th in the nation in pass efficiency and contributed 20 td’s last season.

Historically, USD is in 8-17 since turning division I in 2008 while the program is still in search of the first august win under head coach Bob Nielson. USD spoke on how they’re adjusting for a Thursday game rather than a Saturday matchup.

“It is going to be different. I think what really makes it different is the fact that we start classes and play on Thursday. The last few years, we’ve always had a week to get your guys into the flow of class and football because we haven’t played until the second weekend of class. That’s probably more than an adjustment for our guys than it is for us as coaches, honestly.” South Dakota head coach Bob Nielson said.

USD takes on Northern State tomorrow at 7 p.m. at the DakotaDome.
