    Salvation Army hosting free mobile lunch service in McCook Lake Saturday

    SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KCAU) — The Salvation Army will be feeding volunteers working to continue cleaning up McCook Lake on Saturday.

    Siouxland’s Salvation Army announced that they will be providing up to 100 free lunches for volunteers. On Saturday, a disaster relief team will load up a food truck and drive to McCook Lake.

    Saturday is just the first day of a three-day community cleanup event in response to June’s severe flooding . The event, hosted by the McCook Lake Izaak Walton League , goes until Monday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day.

    The Salvation Army of Siouxland says they plan to continue to assist volunteer and recovery efforts in Union County in the coming weeks.
