Georgia's only measureable earthquake in July was recorded on July 25 at 1:57 am centered approximately six miles northeast of Eton, GA, in Murray County. According to data from the US Geological Survey (USGS), the quake registered a magnitude of 2.4 at a depth of approximately six miles below the surface. The quake was centered within the Chattahoochee National Forest.
