The Giant Eagle grocery chain has announced they’re selling all of its GetGo convenience stores.

GetGo is being bought by Couche-Tard, a Canadian company and owners of the popular Circle K chain.

The sale is expected to be official sometime next year.

Until then, customers can still redeem their myPerks rewards at GetGo until the transaction is official.

“Couche-Tard and Giant Eagle have agreed to keep and partner together on the myPerks loyalty program across Giant Eagle and GetGo locations, while exploring opportunities to expand the program to unlock even more value and discounts for our customers,” said Giant said in a release.

Couche-Tard says they will retain all GetGo employees when the sale is complete.

Giant Eagle says the decision to sell will make its company stronger and will focus on its supermarket and pharmacy businesses:

The sale will strengthen Giant Eagle, better enabling us to prioritize investments and resources, further bolstering our position as a leading regional grocer and pharmacy with a well-known brand that delivers value for customers and Team Members.

The financial terms of the deal have not been made available.

3,500 people in PA, Ohio, West Virginia and Ohio are employed by Get Go, which has roughly 270 stores.
