KDKA Radio presents a two-part mini-series Inside Camp: Aliquippa

What’s it like being a part of one of the most successful high school football programs in WPIAL and PIAA history?

The expectations? The pressure? The demands to be the best?

KDKA Radio is taking you Inside Camp with a two-part mini-series all about the Aliquippa Quips, the 2024 PIAA 4A undefeated Champions.

KDKA Radio’s Ben Tenuta was embedded with the Quips during their camp at Clarion University.

KDKA once again is at the heartbeat of high school football capturing everything from what the players do on-field during practice to what they’re lives are like away from the gridiron.

You’ll learn about this year’s returning Quips like star running back “Tikey” Hayes , a first look at some of the new guys, why Head Coach Mike Warfield is stepping away this season, their legal battles over classification and more.

The mini-series also goes into the Aliquippa community to learn about the massive impact this team has on the former mill town on the rebound.

KDKA Radio play-by-play man Dan Zangrilli spoke with people like Mayor Dwan B. Walker to find out what the program means to the Beaver County community.

Part One of Inside Camp with Aliquippa drops Thursday, August 22 at 10 a.m. on our YouTube page . Part two comes at you on Friday, also at 10 a.m.

Aliquippa will be part of the KDKA Game of the Week schedule in Week 1 against Belle Vernon and Week 3 against Mars.
