Huset’s announces 2024 Hall of Fame class

BRANDON, S.D. (KELO) — Huset’s Speedway announced its 2024 Hall of Fame class, which includes five inductees.

They are Gary Brown Jr., Vernon Hehn, Chad Mellenberndt, Barb Wieskus and Harlan TerWee.

Brown won 75 races, second most all-time. Hehn has 25 late model street stock wins to his name. Mellenberndt was the 1995 Outlaw Sprint Car champion. Wieskus was a volunteer and ambassador at Huset’s. TerWee raced in the 50s and early 60s before dying in a plane crash in 1963.

The induction ceremony is set for June 14.
