CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (KFVS) - A sculpture honoring the memory of a Cape Girardeau businessman and community leader will be installed at a roundabout. According to a release from the Community Foundation of the Ozarks, the Dance of Life sculpture was designed by Stephen Canneto and is being gifted to the Cape Girardeau community in honor of Rex Rust.
Rocky Mount man arrested for assaulting his mother with a cane
A Morgan County man is arrested for severely assaulting his mother in Miller County. Rakan Penfield, of Rocky Mount, was taken into custody Wednesday on charges of first-degree domestic assault and armed criminal action. His bond was set at $200,000 and he’s to be fitted with a GPS tracking device to ensure he stays away from his mother.
