Two killed after being hit by train near Cokeville
Two people are dead after their car was hit by a train just south of Cokeville Sunday morning. Captain Brian Andrews with the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office said that at roughly 11:15 a.m. several individuals decided to bypass a temporary road closure and detour on the railroad right-of-way when the vehicle became stuck on the tracks. “During the course of this family’s detour, their vehicle was struck by a north moving train while attempting to cross from the west side of the tracks to the east,” said Andrews.
