EDISON, NJ - A high school student from Edison Township is one of seven in the state to receive a scholarship for Advocacy and Support of Organ and Tissue Donation and Transplantation from the NJ Sharing Network. Anika Bhatnagar is a 2024 Middlesex Academy for Allied Health and Biomedical Sciences graduate and the recipient of a scholarship from Missy’s Miracle Scholarship Fund. RAHWAY, NJ — On Monday, June 17, Fresh Start Second Chances, Inc. hosted its Annual Scholarship Workshop Ceremony at Sweet Bliss Event Space in Rahway. The event celebrated Rahway High School (RHS) seniors who participated in a five-month workshop dedicated to researching, drafting, revising, and submitting scholarship applications. Meyersdale teen, instructor build flag to hang in Homeland Security Newark office
MEYERSDALE ― From one Meyersdale Area High School graduate to another, a part of history will be remembered for generations to come. Conner Shuck, a 2024 graduate of Meyersdale, volunteered to construct a wooden flag to honor the lives lost in the terrorist attacks on Sept. 11, 2001, when Flight 93 came down in Shanksville. With the guidance of Doug Horne, Meyersdale's tech ed teacher, Shuck took nine weeks to design and build the wooden flag. It is now on display at Homeland Security Investigations in Newark, New Jersey, next to a steel beam recovered from the attack on the World Trade Center.

Beginning her career in education in 2005, Akauola has taught Pre-K, 3rd grade, 5th grade bilingual, and K-12 ESL.
