This NC Company Is Closing Its Second Facility This Year – 65 Workers Will Be Laid Off

According to a new report by Business NC, a company in NC is closing its second facility this year in the state. According to the report, Atlanta-based Graphic Packaging will close its facility in Randleman - 65 workers will be laid off.

The company supplies paperboard and folding cartons for beverages and packaged food. The company also closed another facility in Charlotte in March.

The company released a statement saying "After assessing the company's overall packaging network, it was decided to consolidate production at this facility into our broader network of packaging plants". The company said the closure will be completed in the fourth quarter of 2024.
