FedEx Is Laying Off Almost 70 Workers in This NC City

According to a new report by Business NC, FedEx plans to lay off almost 70 workers at a facility in Conover. According to the report, the global shipping company plans to lay off 69 workers at the facility and the layoffs will begin on September 3.

The layoffs will include 66 couriers and three managers. According to the report, the employees who are laid off will be offered different options including the opportunity to transfer to a different location, severance, or pursue other positions with the company.

FedEx released a statement and said that affected team members were notified about this situation several months in advance.
