Native tribes in Maine and New Hampshire celebrate heritage with 20th annual Pow Wow
WELLS, Maine — Native tribes from Maine and New Hampshire gather in Wells on Sunday for a celebration of their heritage. It was the New Hampshire Intertribal Native American Council's 20th annual Pow Wow. Traditionally, Pow Wows were held by Native tribes after the winter season ended, to feast and celebrate surviving the cold weather.
