One person hurt after shooting in Kennewick early Saturday

KENNEWICK, Wash. - One person was hurt in what the Kennewick Police Department called a "targeted attack" early Saturday morning.

Several calls for help came in shortly before 12:30 a.m. Officers responded to the area of West 5th Avenue and Rainier Street. According to information released by the police department, officers said they found several spent shell casings in the intersection.

They also found a person who was hurt but their injuries were described as not being life-threatening. The person was taken to the hospital and their current condition is not known.

Authorities did not release information on what led up to the shooting or a description of a suspect or suspects.

If anyone has information to share about what happened, the Kennewick Police Department asked people call 509-628-0333.

Walla Walla VA hosts summer VetFest Saturday to share info on the PACT Act

WALLA WALLA, Wash. — VA Walla Walla Healthcare is hosting its Summer VetFest Saturday, July 13 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. on the VA’s parade field at the Jonathan M.
