Kennewick fire crews battling several blazes near Canal

KENNEWICK, Wash. -- Kennewick Fire crews are battling a massive fire near Canal Drive Saturday afternoon.

According to officials, the call for help came in around 3 p.m.; Crews are on scene of three fires near Canal Drive, North Arthur Street, West Deschutes Avenue and North Quay Street in Kennewick.

Police have blocked off Canal Drive from North Fisher Street to North Neel Street and are advising people to take alternate routes.

The cloud of smoke could be seen from the other side of the Columbia River in Pasco.

At this time, it's unknown if anyone is hurt or what the cause of the fire was.

Fire crews will be on scene for several more hours to mop up hotspots.
