KENNEWICK, Wash. - 2 a.m. - Zachary Cain with the Kennewick Police Department tells us five houses to the east of the house that caught fire were evacuated. He also says a few houses west of the house were also evacuated, however, as of 2 a.m., everyone is back in their homes except for the home that caught fire.
Cain said when he got to the scene, one of the homes had fire coming out of the attic and the blaze quickly spread. The house was consumed by fire within a few minutes.
The first initial calls came in about a tree on fire just after 12:30 a.m. and then calls came in about the house having caught fire.
0Injuries and the cause of the fire are still not known.
The home that caught fire is destroyed.

Several fire agencies and law enforcement are on the scene of a house fire in Kennewick that has triggered at least the evacuations of five homes.
The call for help came in just after 12:30 a.m. Monday. Firefighters were called to a home on the 6800 block of West 20th Avenue.
Due to the dry and windy conditions, fire crews and law enforcement began knocking on doors and evacuating at least five homes to the east of the house fire after there was concern of the fire spreading.
Resources are being brought to the scene to help those who have had to leave their homes as firefighters continue to battle the blaze.
Several streets around the fire have been blocked off and police are not allowing people to get closer to the fire in an effort to keep fire trucks moving in and out as well as giving crews room to work.
At this time, it is unknown if there are any injuries.
