Republicans of Kent to host District 36 legislators this Friday

The public is invited to the Sept. 6 First Friday Open House of the Republicans of Kent club from 5 to 8 p.m. at its headquarters at 302 Park Row, Chestertown.

The Board of Directors of the Republicans of Kent will be hosting a special Meet & Greet event there with Maryland State Legislators. These legislators include Senator Steve Hershey, and Delegates Jay Jacobs, Steve Arentz and Jeff Ghrist. Together, as “Team 36”, they represent the citizens of Maryland District 36, which besides Kent County, includes parts of Cecil and Caroline Counties and all of Queen Anne’s County.

This will be an opportunity for informal conversations with your legislators on any of the current issues of the day. The breadth of their minority leadership positions in our legislator will facilitate conversations about the direction many issues may, or may not, take in the next Legislative Session beginning in January.
