Hunter, 53, is a former special education teacher from Kent now residing in Chelan. He was facing charges of rape in the first degree, assault second degree, robbery first degree, kidnapping first degree, and two counts of possession with intent to deliver.

Kent police arrested a 14-year-old for allegedly driving under the influence and evading police last Friday. On Friday, the teenage suspect failed to stop at a stop sign on West Meeker Street in Kent. Kent police officers working emphasis patrols initiated a stop and signaled for the car to pull over. According to police officers on the scene, the car was drifting outside of the travel lane and ran a red light.
