Valparaiso to Eliminate Philosophy Program
Students at Valparaiso University will no longer be able to choose philosophy as a major or minor, according to a plan announced by the school’s president, José Padilla. The philosophy major and minor are two of several programs being cut. According to the NWI Times, the cuts are a response to decreased student enrollment at the Christian university.

Defense files 3 motions on first day of Delphi hearings
DELPHI, Ind. — The first of three hearings in the Delphi murders case began Tuesday. Defense attorney’s for suspect Richard Allen filed several motions in the case. The first motion filed Tuesday was to have Allen moved from solitary confinement in the Indiana Department of Corrections to the Cass County Jail. They believe it would improve Allen’s mental state.

Joseph Jefferson II logged a lot of special teams play as a redshirt freshman in 2023 but looks to see the field more as a defensive back in his sophomore campaign. Appearing in 11 games last year is a pretty good start.
