Honor Our Heroes: Memorial May Campaign at Cave Hill National Cemetery

In the spirit of remembrance and gratitude, the community is gearing up for a poignant event this May. Carry The Load’s Memorial May Campaign is set to take place at the historic Cave Hill National Cemetery, inviting participants to honor the sacrifices made by our nation's military, veterans, first responders, and their families.

The event is scheduled for Friday, May 17, from 9am to 10am, beginning at the Louisville Fire Engine Co 4, located at 2620 Frankfort Ave, Louisville, KY. Attendees are encouraged to gather at 9:45 AM at this starting point to prepare for a 2.5-mile commemorative walk to the cemetery.

This walk is not just a physical journey but a symbolic one, reflecting on the service and dedication of those who have carried the burden for our country's freedom and safety. Upon arrival at the cemetery, participants will engage in a community event, uniting in solidarity and reflection.

Please note, in respect for the sanctity of the site, no dogs are permitted on the cemetery grounds, with the exception of service animals.
