Ulster County has launched stepped-up traffic patrols to get drivers to slow down this summer. As schools let out and summer officially begins across the Hudson Valley drivers in Ulster County need to be aware that law enforcement is increasing the number of patrols targeting speeders over the next few weeks.

Kohl bandits busted again for same crimes in different location
TOWN OF ULSTER – The two women caught in Westchester after stealing thousands of dollars of beauty supplies from the Kohl’s store in Cortlandt Manor have been arrested again, this time in Ulster County. When the two were apprehended in Westchester last Saturday, a third woman avoided apprehension but was caught Thursday night with her two partners, after they attempted to shoplift from Kohl’s in the Town of Ulster.

New Haven resident Marcos Alex Mendez-Torres was taken into custody by Connecticut State Police on Wednesday, June 26 after also being arrested in the Orange County town of Montgomery, New York on Sunday, June 23 in connection with a kidnapping case involving a missing 15-year-old Connecticut girl, State Police announced on Thursday, June 27.
