A Severe Thunderstorm Warning is in effect for Cherokee, Nacogdoches and Angelina Counties until 7:15 p.m.
A Tornado Warning is in effect for Houston County until 7 p.m.
A Tornado Watch was issued for Henderson, Anderson, Houston, Trinity, Smith, Cherokee, Angelina, Gregg, Rusk, Nacogdoches, San Augustine, Harrison, Panola, Shelby and Sabine counties on Saturday.
On Friday, the Grand Saline Fire Marshal’s Office said that parts of Bradburn Street, High Street, Elm Street, Washington Street and Patterson Street are flooded along with the 800 block of Highway 110.
The Gladewater Police Department said that a tree reported in the road in the 800 block of East Lake Drive was cleared from the road on Saturday.
The Camp County Sheriff’s Office said before midnight on Friday, they received reports of 54 trees down, 17 downed power lines, six flooded roadways, three stranded people and a vehicle that ran into a tree that was in the road.
“That might not seem like a lot of calls, but several of those trees and power lines were called in up to five or 10 times each; our dispatchers were on the phone and radio constantly,” Camp County Sheriff John Cortelyou said.
The sheriff’s office said first responders worked together to serve the public and spent hours cleaning up as efforts continue with reports still coming in.

POLK COUNTY
On Monday, the Polk County issued a voluntary evacuation order for areas along the Trinity River.
According to the order, the county is facing “significant threats to life and property” due to heavy overnight rainfall that caused flooding in low-lying areas.
