    ‘Generous contribution’: Winnsboro ISD receives donation of robotic equipment

    WINNSBORO, Texas ( KETK ) – Winnsboro Independent School District received a donation of robotic arms valued at $51,000 for their robotics and automation program.

    According to the school district, Van Meter, an electrical supply distributor, donated three UR3e robotic arms that are each valued at $17,000.

    “This generous contribution is set to revolutionize the district’s robotics and automation program, providing students with practical experience in industry-standard technologies,” Winnsboro ISD said.

    WISD said they plan on integrating the donation into their curriculum. Students at the district will be able to directly apply concepts as the arms are similar to those used in real-world manufacturing.

    “This donation marks a significant milestone in WISD’s commitment to providing students with cutting-edge educational tools and preparing them for the future,” Winnsboro ISD said. “The district looks forward to seeing how these robotic arms will enhance student learning and open up new opportunities in the field of automation and robotics.”
