Key West, FL - A Florida man is behind bars in Ohio awaiting extradition back to the Sunshine State on attempted murder charges.

50-year-old Casey James Loder was apprehended in Olmsted, Ohio on Monday after Monroe County Sheriff's Office secured a warrant for his arrest.

The charges stem from a violent domestic dispute that occurred on New Year's Eve 2023 at Leo's Key West Campground on Stock Island.

Authorities allege Loder repeatedly beat and strangled a 49-year-old woman during the altercation.

The victim reported fearing for her life and stated she scratched Loder to collect DNA under her fingernails.

Additionally, investigators obtained audio recordings where Loder allegedly threatened to kill the woman.
