Inside Mrs. Wilkes' Dining Room: Savannah's Secret Spot for Southern Comfort Food!

📍Savannah This restaurant has a daily queue, I suggest lining up before 10 am to see how many are ahead of you, maybe 45 mins to move forward by about 60 people. 😮 The food is truly delicious and offers a great variety. It feels especially worth it if the wait wasn't so long! 🌟 Some dishes I didn't even know the names of, just jotting down the ones I do! 📝 - Cucumber 🥒: It's pickled, not really my thing - Cornbread Dressing 🌽: Delicious, delicious, delicious! Aromatic cornmeal with some green peppers and egg whites - Creamed Corn 🌽: Super tasty, just the sweet taste of corn - Beef Stew 🥘: A bit salty but the meat is tender - Jambalaya 🍛: Red rice + sausage, yummy! - BBQ Pulled Pork 🍖: A bit too sweet for me - Mac & Cheese 🧀: Never been a fan of this one - Cabbage 🥬: Lightly fried cabbage, very tasty - Cornbread 🍞: Very fragrant and delicious! (They have both cornbread and biscuits, not served at the start) - Fried Chicken 🍗: Pretty good, fried juicy. This is the only dish not refillable but everyone gets about three pieces - Zucchini Squash 🥒: Delicious, a unique mushy zucchini, not something I usually make at home haha - Sweet Potato 🍠: With cinnamon and raisins, tasty - Potato Salad 🥔: Just okay - English Peas & Noodle 🍜: Very light, not bad - Snap Beans 🟢: Just average, not as good as the other beans - Black-eyed Peas 👀: They look like whole beans but are actually quite mushy, lightly flavored and delicious! - Butter Beans 🧈: Similar to the black-eyed peas, tasty - Collard Greens 🥬: Not bad, quite unique haha, my American tablemates really loved it - Radish 🍥: Seems like sweet pickled radish but not sure, it's okay! - Veggie Medley with Tomato Flavor 🍅: Not sure what it's called, it's alright - Fried Okra 🟢: Personally, I don't think the okra flavor is strong.
