OKLAHOMA CITY ( KFOR ) – A contractor at the center of a KFOR “Looking Out For You” from June still has not finished a $150,000 remodel of an OKC woman’s home that is a year and a half in the making.

“It’s just so tiring, he gets nothing done when he comes over and then he gives excuse after excuse,” said Theresa Forster.

Forster has lived in her home near NW 16th and Pennsylvania Avenue for years, but around last June she said she decided to get a plastic top to a pipe in her backyard.

She hired a contractor early last year to remodel her home. She said Claudio Ocasio had a contracting business at the time called Always Reliable Contracting LLC.

According to the Secretary of State’s website, the LLC has expired.

But KFOR’s story ran two months ago and featured Forster when she said she agreed to hire him and has paid over $151,000.

At that time, she said she had hardly heard from him and much of the work was unfinished along with much fo the work needing to be redone.

After the story, Forster said that he was upset and wanted her to tell KFOR to remove the story from the air.

“He wanted me to call you guys and have you take it off the air,” said Forster. “Because he didn’t want to get in any trouble.”

Since then, she said there has hardly been anything done.

Forster said that he had only come over to her house three times and spent only a handful of hours working.

From what she said, Ocasio seemed to have only prepared an area where an oven should be and put together some shelves in one of the closets as two major projects.

“Other than that he’s done hardly anything,” said Forster.

Forster has lived without an oven, without a sink, really without a kitchen, without several lights, her shower is covered by cardboard, there’s a massive hole in the ceiling, many light switches are missing a cover, the thermostat is hanging out of the wall, and more.

“I can’t open up my back door because the trash bags are holding back the heat,” said Forster.

She contacted the Attorney General’s Office Consumer Protection Division on Wednesday and emailed them as well.

“I’m just done, I’ve had enough,” said Forster.

KFOR reached out to Ocasio in June and went to his house in Okemah but he hid in the house and didn’t answer. On Wednesday, he wasn’t home but did call later in the evening and immediately hung up after he heard it was KFOR.

For now, Forster remains stuck between a rock and a hard place because if she stops having Ocasio come in and work whenever he does, she feels like she could be out over $150,000.

KFOR is waiting to hear back from the Mound Police Department but still hasn’t heard back.
