OKLAHOMA CITY ( KFOR ) – Investigators with the Oklahoma City Police Department are looking for a man who burglarized a deceased person’s home.

Authorities are asking the public to help identify a man (below) burglarizing a home near Northwest 23rd & Meridian.

“This home had recently been lived in by a woman who had passed away. The calling party apparently saw the person breaking into the home,” said Gary Knight, with the Oklahoma City Police Department.

The caller scared the man away, but not before capturing photos of the person of interest.

“You get a really good look at the guy on surveillance,” said Knight.

Officers discovered a black 65-inch tv that appeared to have been taken off a wall. There were marks and holes in the wall that looked like they were from a TV Mount.

“There was forced entry in the home. It looked like he was gathering up a television and other items of value to take with him,” said Knight.

Police also said there was a mess left behind in one of the bedrooms. Tools, boxes and other household items were scattered around the room.

The homeowner told police her daughter was the one living at the home and recently passed away, so the family was in the process of packing up the house.

“Anyone who knows him should recognize them, it’s a good quality photo,” said Knight.
