    VIDEO: 3 injured following stolen vehicle chase, crash on Niles Street

    BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — Three girls were taken into custody following a police chase in a stolen van that ended in a major crash in east Bakersfield.

    Surveillance footage from the Fastrip gas station on Niles Street and Sterling Road shows a white truck making a U-turn when a suspected stolen van ran a red light and crashed into the pick-up truck.

    Following the crash, three people get out of the van and try to run away.

    Kern County Sheriff’s Office said the crash happened around 1:40 a.m. Monday in east Bakersfield.

    According to KCSO, three girls who were in the suspected stolen van were injured in the crash, but all have been booked.
