BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — Another Heat Wave has arrived in Kern County Wednesday, with a forecasted high of 104°.

The peak of the heat will occur Thursday and Friday, with temps ranging anywhere from 105° to 107° in some areas. Expect poor air quality Wednesday and towards the end of the work week.

A heat advisory has been issued from 11 a.m. Wednesday through Friday, encompassing a large portion of the valley floor, Kern River Valley, and the Mojave Desert regions.

Due to low daytime humidity and inadequate overnight temperature relief, the risk of wildfires will be significantly heightened throughout the area.
