Tune into KHTS for a dose of wisdom as Larry Elder, one of the brightest conservative voices in the Black community, joins our nightly programming.

The ”Sage from South Central” is back on the radio and TV where he belongs! Larry has been well known for over twenty years as a radio talk show host on KABC in Los Angeles and his syndicated show by Salem Radio Network on KRLA, AM 870 The Answer, since 2016.

Larry holds a bachelor’s degree from Brown University and a Law degree from the University of Michigan. He was discovered as a potential radio host by Dennis Prader, who had Larry on his radio show on KABC, where Larry later joined and was eventually syndicated by the ABC radio network.

Larry began to focus on his successful podcast, “Larry Elder—We’ve Got a Country to Save,” which is now reaching 500,000 downloads per episode. Larry continues with that podcast but can now be heard across the country in the PM drive slot on the West Coast. He’s heard on plenty of radio stations but is also carried live on the Salem News Channel.

After taking some time away from the spotlight to run in the California Governor recall election in 2021, Elder proved he was a viable candidate, gathering the most votes of the 50 candidates running to replace Governor Gavin Newsom. From that experience, Elder decided to run for President of the United States in the 2024 election. He dropped out of that race in October 2023 and threw his support behind former president Donald Trump.

“By popular demand, the watchman returns to jois post,” commented Larry when asked about his return to radio. Larry is one of a rare breed who actually grew in popularity and influence after he departed from radio,” said Phil Boyce, Senior vice president of Spoken Work for Salem Media Group. Now, we get to hear his sage words of wisdom daily on radio stations across the country and also in Salem News Channel.”

Larry holds a bachelor’s degree from Brown University and a Law degree from the University of Michigan.

Tune in to KHTS AM 1220 98.1 FM  to hear Larry Elder on the air from 9 to 11 p.m. nightly.
