East Texas Women: Brittany Baton is saddling up with success

KILGORE, Texas ( KETK ) – KETK News is highlighting the ladies making big moves from Piney Woods. This week, we take you to Gregg County and introduce you to an entrepreneur who has made a career out of doing what she knows best.

Meet Brittany Baton of Kilgore, the owner of 4 B’s Tack as well as Baton Car and Truck .

“I’ve always wanted a tack store and a western store since I was a little girl,” Brittany Baton said. “I grew up with Martha Josey, and she has kind of been my idol.”

Now, she gets to see those dreams become a reality.

“I told my mom, I said, I want to open up a car lot. She was like, ‘What are you crazy, you know nothing about cars.’ And I was like, ‘I’m going to do it one day.’ And she was like, ‘okay,’ and she just rolled her eyes, and she didn’t believe me. So I never thought it would happen,” said Baton.

As a barrel racer, Brittany knows first-hand the needs of people in the rodeo-world, so she is able to cater to them accordingly.

“A lot of these rodeo people, they can’t go to a normal dealership and go and buy $80,000 truck or a car,” said Baton. “They don’t have the credit. They can afford it, but they don’t have the credit. So with me, we don’t do credit check. It’s money down and monthly payments. And I really think that will help the rodeo community get down the road a little bit easier.”

She dusted off her boots to do what she loves.

“My goal is to be successful in anything I do,” said Baton. “I want the store to be successful, I want my car lot to be successful.”

Brittany put her own brand on business to saddle up with success.
