New community solar site coming to Albany
A new community solar farm at the Port of Albany is throwing a lifeline to low-income residents facing mounting electric bills. Citizens Energy Corporation's JOE-4-SUN low-income community solar program provides electricity savings while making renewable energy more accessible. Eligible residents can receive energy credits providing up to 20% in savings on their electricity bill. JOE-4-SUN is already providing electric savings to 2,200 households in New York and Massachusetts.

Hochul: Outage not believed to be cyber attack; Albany departments affected
Gov. Kathy Hochul said that the global internet outage is not believed to be any cyber attack. “It is a more of a technical issue. There is no risk to personal sensitive information that we’re aware of. Although we are continuing to monitor the environment very closely nonetheless, this has caused huge disruptions across the state of New York around the country and indeed the globe,” she said.
