October 27, 2024 – July 12, 2024 - Our loving father, husband, grandfather, great grandfather, companion and friend; Ronald W Nyman passed away July 12, 2024. Born Oct 27, 1939, Ron was the oldest of 3 sons of Carl and Naomi Nyman. He lived in Newberg OR most of his life. Ron’s brothers, Delbert and Ernie both predeceased him. Ron married his high school sweetheart, Janice, raising two boys Wayne and Mark. Ron realized his dream of being a business owner when he and his business partner Bob Jones bought the NAPA Auto Parts store in Forest Grove OR turning it into a very successful business. When Ron and Bob decided to retire, they continued their business partnership and endeavor by leasing their building to the US Postal Service of Forest Grove which continues today. Outside of business, Ron’s passions were family, hunting and fishing, traveling the world and enjoying his bounty from the garden. Ron was an avid Portland Trailblazer fan, being a season ticket holder for most of the team’s existence. Ron was active in Toastmasters early in his career serving in leadership positions. This is likely where he honed his ability to tell detailed stories. He also volunteered for the Yamhill County Park Service helping to open new camps and parks.

Ron and Janice enjoyed a long loving marriage filled with many blessings until Janice’s passing in 2013. After that Ron met another loving companion, Mary Schultz, and they continued their relationship until Ron’s passing.

Ron is survived by son Wayne and his wife Winnie of Georgetown, TX and daughter Hannah of Lubbock TX; son Mark and his wife Carla of Prineville, OR and their son Garrett of Prineville, daughter Abby of Nashville, TN and son Alex and his wife Julia of Gresham, OR. Ron was recently blessed with a great grandson, Elias, son of Abby.

A memorial is planned at the King City Civic Association Hall 15245 SW 116th Ave. King City OR 97224, Aug 10th from 4:00 to 6:00 PM.
