Sioux City pharmacist fined for giving wrong vaccine to patient
SIOUX CITY (KTIV) - A Sioux City pharmacist faces a $1,000 fine for giving a patient the flu vaccine when the patient asked for a COVID-19 booster. The pharmacist, Jordan Rena Gran, will also attend a medication error and patient safety program administered by Oregon State University, on top of two hours of continuing education.

Wright County man sent to federal prison for gun crime
SIOUX CITY, Iowa – A Wright County man is going to federal prison for illegal gun possession. Michael Dean Hanus Jr., 45 of Clarion, pleaded guilty in federal court to possession of a firearm by a prohibited person. Hanus Jr. has a prior conviction of Interference with Official Acts – Dangerous Weapon, which banned him from possessing a firearm.
