Two arrested for mischief in Orange City
ORANGE CITY—Two people were arrested about 9:35 p.m. Monday, July 22, in Orange City on criminal mischief charges. The arrest of 23-year-old Travon Lydell Cross of Sioux City and 22-year-old Ciara Lynn Dean of Orange City stemmed from a disturbance at Dean’s residence at 905 Highway 10 W. Lot A in Orange City, according to the Orange City Police Department.

SIOUX CITY (KTIV) - A Sioux City pharmacist faces a $1,000 fine for giving a patient the flu vaccine when the patient asked for a COVID-19 booster. The pharmacist, Jordan Rena Gran, will also attend a medication error and patient safety program administered by Oregon State University, on top of two hours of continuing education.

Sheldon will name Meinecke interim chief
SHELDON—The Sheldon Police Department will have its interim chief in place well ahead of current chief Scott Burtch’s official resignation of Aug. 30. A resolution approving mayor Greg Geels’ appointment of Eric Meinecke as interim police chief is on the agenda for the Sheldon City Council meeting at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 24, at the Sheldon Community Services Center.
