In Kingsport, Jacob Gholston was dialed-in on the mound early for the Axmen against the Otterbots. But, the visitors pulled the football out from under their hosts on Charlie Brown Night, earning the sweep, 5-1.

A throwing error and a pair of groundout RBI got the party started for Danville, despite five strikeouts from Gholston in 5.0 innings of work.

Carrington Aaron led the Otterbots with a pair of RBI in the victory, while Devan Zirwas notched the lone RBI for the Axmen.

The Coal Cats and River Riders were locked in a tight battle, until Tri-State scored five runs in the seventh to pull away, 7-3.

Jayden Lobliner drove in both of the earned runs for Elizabethton. Jack Smith’s grand slam for Tri-State was the big blow in the seventh.
