Parents reminded of changes for Rome City Schools
Sunday, July 21, 2024–5:13 p.m. The Rome City School Board is reminding parents about two important changes as they get ready for the 2024-2025 school year. Rome City Schools is switching from PowerSchool to Infinite Campus for their student information system and all students will be required to register for school this year by filling out a paper registration packet.

Rome City Commission Approves Slight Decrease To MIllage Rate
The Rome City Commission approved a decrease in the millage rate for Rome residents. However, that will mean a slight increase in their taxes because of higher property tax valuations. The 2024 cut is a reduction of 0.2 mills. That equates to a combined rate of 26.25 mills compared to 26.45 mills in 2023.
