New Hartford hungry to return to Dome, finish the job after heartbreaking loss in Section III Class B Final last year
The New Hartford Spartans had one of the best seasons in program history in 2023. However, after a last-minute 28-27 loss to Indian River in the Section III Class B Final, the team's 10-1 record has been an eye sore for returning players and coaches due to the magnitude of the one loss. This year, the Spartans look to flip the script and learn from last year's mistakes as they hope to earn another shot at playing for a section title.

Waterville/Hamilton is now in year two under head coach Brad Dunlay, and is entering its second season in the 8-man division. After pushing a 1-7 record from 2022 into a 4-4 record in 2023, the Eagles are looking to take the next step and, with a foundation for success now in place, are motivated to produce a winning record in 2024.

Steven Campanaro tees it up as new SUNY Poly golf coach
MARCY — SUNY Poly has hired Steven Campanaro as the new men’s and women’s head golf coach. Campanaro, a certified PGA professional, joins SUNY Poly having recently served as the PGA head golf professional at Teugega Country Club in Rome. His tenure there was marked by achievements including 2020 Central New York PGA Golf Professional of the Year. “Campanaro’s leadership at Teugega was instrumental in expanding women’s and junior golf programs by over 30% as well as increasing tournament participation by 55%,” SUNY Poly noted in its release.

HAMILTON — Fred '50 and Marilyn Dunlap Head Football Coach Stan Dakosty announced on Tuesday that his father, Stan Dakosty, Sr. will be joining the 2024 coaching staff in a Senior Analyst role. Dakosty Sr. stepped down from his position as Head Coach at Marian Catholic High School in 2023 where he served for 43 seasons.
