Downtown Willoughby homicide suspect arraigned on murder charge
The man suspected in the July 13 homicide in downtown Willoughby was arraigned July 15 via video conference at the Willoughby Municipal Court on the charge of murder. The suspect has been identified by the Willoughby Police Department as Fernando Alejo, a 23-year-old Painesville resident. According to Willoughby Police Chief James Schultz, Alejo was not given a bond and will be held at the Lake County Jail until his next court appearance on July 18 at the municipal court.
Man returns to assault woman after vandalizing her apartment overnight
