A mother of three and member of Kitsap's comedy community who was involved in a single-car rollover crash on Highway 3 south of Bremerton on Saturday has died, according to the Washington State Patrol.

Porshe D. Scott, 36 of Bremerton, died at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle on Thursday, according to her sister, Willene Robinson.

"She was full of life," Robinson said on Friday. "When she walks in she just lights up the room. But she left too soon, it's a tragedy."

Scott was a 2006 graduate of Bremerton High School, having moved to the Pacific Northwest with her family, including Robinson and two brothers, Anthony Moffett and John Bruce, and mother Evangeline Scott, to unite with a larger family in the area with Navy ties. Scott was born in Chicago and spent her early years there, as well as some time in Atlanta, Robinson said.

Scott loved to be on stage, doing comedy at clubs and other venues around Kitsap County and the Puget Sound area, Robinson said, and enjoyed being part of the local scene. Robinson said Scott was excited to pursue comedy and had planned auditions for upcoming shows and competitions.

In addition to the family members in Bremerton, Scott is survived by three children, Maniyah (18), Emmanauel (15) and Truu (1), and friend Tasha Lassere, the godmother to the children. Robinson said Scott was a devoted mother, and was surrounded by family at the hospital when she died.

Scott reportedly lost control of the 2003 Acura she was driving south just after 9 a.m. on August 10, according to a WSP report, struck the center barrier on Highway 3 just before the exit on the W. Belfair Valley Road, then crossed both southbound lanes, hit an embankment to the right of the roadway and flipped, before striking a power pole. Scott, who was not wearing a seatbelt, according to WSP, was thrown from the car. She was flown to Harborview in Seattle.

Though an initial incident reported cited a suspicion that alcohol was a factor in the crash, WSP revised that finding to say the cause is unknown and not under suspicion. A bottle found on the ground near the scene during the initial search was not associated with Scott's car, according to Robinson.

A GoFundMe page was established by Scott's family to help pay for funeral expenses and support for her children as well as a meal train the community may join to provide meals while the family deals with their loss.
