When Theatre of Dare decided to make its first foray into the Outer Banks summer entertainment business this year, the main idea was to keep the productions fun and simple. “Small cast. Comedy. Family friendly,” said TOD Business Manager Kelsey Thompson. “We wanted shows that would lighten things up for our overworked locals, and something our visitors could bring the entire beach house to.”

Teddy was first adopted from us in 2020, sadly he was returned to us this year through no fault of his own. Teddy is six-years-old and has the goofiest personality. He is house trained, loves to sunbathe and enjoys car rides and walking on the beach. He also does well with other calm dogs. Watch this video to learn more about Teddy.

As a teenager, David Beal got a letter from President Gerald Ford thanking him for his contribution to America’s Bicentennial after he painted an attention-grabbing series of patriotic symbols and images on a barn in Ohio. He spent a quarter century as illustrator, designer and art director for Hallmark. And his portraits hang in collections, including those in Truman State University and Kansas University.
