NEW IBERIA, La. ( KLFY ) — Two people are dead after a shooting in New Iberia late Sunday night, authorities said.

The Iberia Parish Coroner said the two victims are 31-year-old Dewanna Broussard and 36-year-old Kasey Egbi, both of New Iberia.

New Iberia Police responded at 9:15 p.m. Sunday to a report of shots fired in the 500 block of Sofas Street. Officers found three victims, two female and one male. The male and one of the females were pronounced dead at the scene, the other female was treated and released from a local hospital, authorities said.
