Yesterday’s official high of 99° tied the old record set in 1997! With nearly identical conditions ahead today it will be yet another day where temperatures will climb to near 100°. Some backyards did get some brief rain in the form of stray showers and storms, but for the most part, many locations remained dry. Today will offer a similar chance for rain – in other words, a bleak one. A few storms could pop up this afternoon, but the majority of the area will stay rain-free. Expect warm and muggy conditions tonight with lows in the mid-70s.
