Fox News host Laura Ingraham said she was overcome with grief upon learning that former President Donald Trump had been shot. A would-be assassin shot Trump in the ear at a rally in Pennsylvania on Saturday. One rally-goer was killed and two others were wounded. The shooter was 20-year-old Thomas Matthew Crooks, who was killed by the Secret Service. He was a registered Republican who once gave $15 to a Democratic fundraising platform. His motive remains unclear at this point.
Lehman Township solar meeting overflows into parking lot
Over 170 residents crowded into Lehman Township’s municipal hall and the parking lot for a hearing on the township’s first solar project. Susquehanna Solar, a South Carolina company, wants to build a 46-acre solar farm on agricultural land in Lehman Township, Luzerne County. Residents packed the July 15 conditional use hearing, demanding the township move the meeting to a larger location where all interested residents could hear the meeting.

Couple charged for allegedly not feeding children, locking them in room
Sunbury, Pa. — The children of Alexis Marie Anstey, 27, and David Joseph Heller, 34, of Sunbury, told police they had been locked inside their room for 10 hours and hit with various items, including a belt. Anstey and Heller now face a combined 48 charges for the alleged incidents which police began investigating on June 29, 2023.
