Amber Alert issued for missing Nacogdoches 12-year-old girl

NACOGDOCHES, Texas ( KETK ) – The Nacogdoches Police Department said they’re currently searching for a 12-year-old girl named Roselyn Navaeh Smith.

Officials said they were searching in the area of Tangleberry St. and Tanglewood St. Smith is described as a black girl wearing a black shirt with gold letters spelling “QUEEN”, blue jean shorts, black shoes, diamond stud earrings, a backpack, crossbody bag and a clarinet.

An Amber Alert was issued for Smith and it said that she was last seen at around 7:39 A.M. on Aug. 22. According to Nacogdoches PD, Smith was last seen heading towards the bus stop but she never showed up at school this morning.

The police department said they’re working with the Nacogdoches Fire Department, the Texas Department of Public Safety and the FBI to find Smith.

Anyone who’s seen someone matching her description is asked to call 911 immediately.
