    SENIOR TAX CREDIT PLACED ON SALINE COUNTY’S NOVEMBER 5th BALLOT

    The Saline County Commission adopted an order placing a proposed property tax credit for the county’s seniors on the November 5th ballot.

    Gooden explains that the credit, if passed by voters, would not be a freeze on a senior’s property tax.

    Also at Wednesday’s session, the commission agreed to set the tax rates as presented. The commission also granted a request for the Saline County Republicans to use the courtroom the evening of August 20th and Quill Endeavors to use the northern side of the courthouse lawn on September 7th as part of a pride festival.
