    Tennessee baseball to be recognized during UT-Alabama football game for national championship

    Tennessee baseball 's national championship team will be celebrated at Neyland Stadium during the football game against Alabama on Oct. 19.

    The Vols won the program's first national title when it beat Texas A&M 6-5 in the College World Series final in June in Omaha, Nebraska. Tennessee became the first team in SEC history to win 60 games in the process. The Vols also won the SEC regular-season title and the SEC Tournament title, sweeping the crowns for the second time in three seasons under coach Tony Vitello.

    UT has been to the College World Series in three of the past four seasons.

    When Tennessee baseball will be recognized at Neyland Stadium

    Tennessee will celebrate multiple SEC championship teams throughout the football season, including the baseball celebration against Alabama.

    Tennessee basketball will be celebrated during the Alabama game. The Vols won the SEC regular-season title for the second time under coach Rick Barnes. They then went to the Elite Eight for the second time in program history.

    Lady Vols softball will be recognized during the Florida game on Oct. 12 for winning the SEC regular-season title. Coach Karen Weekly's team won back-to-back SEC regular season titles for the first time in program history.

    Tennessee athletics had banner year across all sports

    Tennessee winning the first national title in its baseball history was the finishing touch on a banner year for UT athletics.

    All 20 UT sports reached the postseason, playing in either an NCAA postseason event or a bowl game. UT was one of two Power Five schools to put all its teams in the postseason in the 2023-24 academic year.

    Tennessee had a record finish of No. 3 in the Learfield Directors' Cup. UT has finished in the top 15 for four straight years.
