    Tennessee baseball snags highly-rated shortstop transfer from Louisville

    KNOXVILLE. Tenn. (WATE) — Gavin Kilen announced on his Instagram that he has committed to play baseball at the University of Tennessee.

    Baseball America rated Kilen as the No. 1 player available in the transfer portal. He chose Tennessee over LSU and Florida.

    VFL Chase Dollander to compete in All-Star Futures Game

    During his sophomore season at Louisville, Kilen played in all 56 games batting .339 with 10 home runs and 44 RBI.

    “See you soon, Knoxville,” Kilen said in his post.

    Cooper Mays, James Pearce named Preseason All-Americans

    Kilen earned Third Team All-ACC honors in 2023 and is draft-eligible in 2025. He had an official visit to Tennessee during the Vols’ Super Regional against Evansville.
